Epic Games

Epic Games wanted to create an ecosystem of products to help grow their relationships with gamers, developers and enterprise level partners.  I worked with Epic to define the ecosystem product experience, strategy, and design of their digital platforms including Fortnite, Unreal Engine and the Epic Games Store.

Challenge:

Design a scalable multi-platform game publishing user experience solution that enables and facilitates game consumer, developer and game publisher interactions. Leveraging the Epic Games store as the primary user-experience and gateway to a cohesive, intuitive user-centered product ecosystem.   

Solution:

To help create the Epic Ecosystem I worked with internal and external teams to help define a unified product vision and developed tools such as user journey maps, affinity diagram, information architecture diagrams, user flows, platform design principles and a visual design language to help distributed teams design product features in a consistent manner. I also facilitated team workshops and feature definition activities to drive product development with multiple teams. Our VDL helped to provide universal guidelines to the visual designers at Epic as they explored new products and product features.
