Relay

Bitcoin has taken the world by storm, offering a currency alternative to government-backed currencies. Research shows that most cryptocurrency users are between the age of 18 and 45 years of age. Relay – an early stage startup targeting users 18-30 years of age, wanted to test whether users would adopt and use a cryptocurrency mobile payment service to transfer digital currency to one another for goods and services.

Challenge:

Create an energetic fun brand experience for mobile devices that empowers people to adopt peer-to-peer cryptocurrency transactions in everyday life.

Solution:

Through a rigorous research process that included multiple interviews with the core demographic segment for the application, I worked to develop a brand and aesthetic tone that communicated the brands core value and reinforced its strategic product positioning.
